Chen Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China Federation of Machinery and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Chief Economist Ye Dingda attended the meeting. The meeting focused on analyzing and discussing the import and export situation, characteristics and existing problems of mechanical products in various industries in the first quarter (or January-February) of 2023, forecasting the trend of import and export of mechanical products in the international market this year, and putting forward relevant work measures and policy suggestions.
At the meeting, Deputy Director Chen Bin introduced the latest economic operation and import and export data in the first quarter announced by the National Bureau of Statistics and the General Administration of Customs. The import and export situation of market products is improving, the import and export trade of sub-sectors has increased and decreased, and industry companies have strong resilience. Preliminary predictions, as long as there is no major change in the international situation, the import and export of the machinery industry will be relatively optimistic this year. He suggested that industry associations continue to reflect the demands of industry enterprises to relevant state departments, further improve the business environment of enterprises, and promote the high-quality development of the machinery industry.
